It appears that I have underestimated power and flexibility of CSS. I found a great tutorial on making great-looking forms, and applied the knowledge to registration form of my game. I was impressed by what can be done by adding only few lines of code, and slightly adjusting form’s structure. Looks… almost professional

I keep working and improving current scripts, making new ones etc. And every small success gives me energy to continue my work on what will, hopefully, be an ultimate RPG.

However, today was special. I solved a problem I’ve had for a weeks. It is not possible to work on multiple skills in same time anymore. Till today it was possible, by playing in more than 1 window. It is not possible anymore.

If there is still a way of cheating and playing in a different way than it is thought to, it is something really hard, or something really stupid I haven’t thought of.

There are no more known bugs which could be abused to gain unfair advantage over others.

At least I hope so

This blog is dedicated to a new “Free to play and free forever” permanent online role playing game currently under development. What does this mean? You can interfere with other players in the game universe. Action is taking place in medieval and dark times when Earth is inhabitated by many mythical creatures and humans with paranormal abilities. And… you don’t have to pay a single penny or cent to play this game. Of course, donations will be welcome, because I will need to pay for the game server once it is up and running. Donations won’t give you any in-game advantage, they’ll simply unlock some nice features like guestbook, increased inbox and outbox capacity, underlined name in chat and forum etc.

The game I’m making will be a RPG for sure. It’s much more of an RPG than most of games you’ve seen before. You will lose nothing upon registering. Game universe will give you a choice of how to play. You will be able to choose a peaceful way and be a trader, farmer, constructor, jeweller… but… how about the path of hatred, anger and revenge? You could as well be a fierce warrior dealing death in lawless wastes, or even attack peaceful towns to get loot and simply kill other players. Of course, you’ll have to face some consequences, there’ll be a bounty for your head, you’ll have to be ready to be attacked by headhunters and other reward seekers. Every decision you’ll make will influence your future and give/remove some quests and options, unlike most of current RPGs. Being a “good” character will lock some options available for “bad” characters and vice versa. Changing from good to bad (and the opposite) )will be possible, but it wil be a painful convertion, taking some time and requiring some resources from you. Sticking to one style of playing will be rewarded.

I’d appreciate some help when it comes to creating the storyline of the game, quests and town, NPC descriptions. At the moment I’m planning to have 20 skills in the game, such as animal taming, breeding, jewellery, brewery and many others.

I don’t really need help when it comes to coding part. When I decided to start working on this game, my programming knowledge was close to zero. Now I’ve self-learned quite a bit and many fiunctioning parts of the game are already done and working well, such as traveling system, gathering skills (woodcutting, mining, fishing), drop system etc.

The audience I will target are nature people, probably of age 16 and more. I don’t want the game to be flooded with little and rude kids, or rude and annoying adults, for that matter. Rules will be strict, when it comes to spamming, flaming, trolling and disturbing the gaming experience of other players.
